Ethnography Topic Help – Sorry for posting again.?
Sorry to ask the exact same questions but here are several of my ideas, if possible please elaborate its weaknesses and perhaps giving me insights about what to have as a topic for my ethnography in a cultural anthropology class (not major, only G.E): [P.S I live in San Francisco]1. Golden Gate Park and its people. What are their most common activities? What’s the motif of coming to Golden abstract Asian Japanese Gate Park? Is there any significance with nearby restaurants perhaps? Gender specifications for visits and age difference. 2. Asian Cuisine restaurants (behind my house there are exactly 4 Chinese Restaurants and 2 Japanese Restaurants and 1 Korean) and their customers; is there any racial prejudices after researching and observing? What are the majorities? Is there any specific wants in each restaurants? How many people? Differences in aesthetic approach of the restaurant? Perhaps because of cost? 3. SAFEWAY at Taraval (near my house), what kind of people normally visited SAFEWAY. Specifically in routines? Or abstract-timed visits? Age ethnography? Young people often go there? Women, men, homosexuals? Park/Walk? Usually what do they expect? Reasons?I expect my observation will begin tomorrow until monday (5 days – @2-3hours). And will interview at least 2-4 people at most.
