CubismWhat is cubism? Is the interpretation of cubism a major art movement on defining art in a difference sense. Art before cubism was understood as a visual way to see the world. This new style will become essential because for the first time in Europe the artist work would symbolize an unseen world. Cooper pointed out that “Cubism fill the gasps in our seeing, and to make pictures whose reality would be independent of, but no less valid then, our visual impressions of reality.” Cubism artist showed a break on the usual paintings and gave them a complete different aspect of art. I define cubism as a unique way of transforming art for a interpretation with a lot more viewpoints forming one illusion of what we conceived as the world. Cubism was the time to change picasso paintings Cubism the principles and practices of what art had become before 1907. Although the initial phase of cubism was hard on criticism this movement lasted until 1914 in the end had a lot of succeeding works. George Braque and Pablo Picasso where the two founders of cubism. Their work started a new style which implicated different methods on their paintings as geometric structures, undefined figures, different perspectives, space, broken up objects, outlines, planar foreground and backgrounds all of this characteristics where to become the starting point of a new and more modern art style that had just started to emerged. In order to confront cubism and its principles we will need to refer too which is the analytical and the synthetic phases with in this movement. Although Braque and Picasso starter the creation of Cubism there where other painters that fallow their big effort on the production of Cubism and imitated their expressions like for example Juan Gris. This study would confront the earliest cubism work of Pablo Picasso’s, Les Demoiselles d’ Avignon,1907 to late cubism with Juan Gris painting fruit-dish and carafe in 1914. Another importance of cubism was that it was also took a direction of to their relationship with literature and music in which cubist painters where associated with many famous poetic writers and famous composers like Alfred jarry, max Jacob, Pierre Reverdy and Erik Satie.
