Where can I find a book containing a reproduction of a ‘Las Meninas’ study by Picasso?
In 1957, Picasso painted 58 different studies of the Velazquez painting ‘Las Meninas’. I am studying this series of paintings, and am trying to track down books which not only discuss the series but are also illustrated with good quality and reasonably large copies of the paintings. I have already searched through my own collection of art books, as well as those in the library, and found reference to the paintings picasso Quality Assurance but no high quality reproductions. Images online are not of a high enough resolution to really view the brushstrokes and handling, and I really need to get hold of some decent images. There are millions of Picasso books out there – I just hope that someone out there will be kind enough to go and look in their own book collections and post the ISBNs of the books on here, as I just cannot find this information anywhere online. Once I know which books have these images in, I will be able to order them from either Amazon or on inter-library loan.Places I have already tried looking:Contacting the galleries which own the pieces has unfortunately been no help at all.
