I’m 15 and only just started oil painting but, compared to what I used in my class, was not very happy with it. I suppose it’s a good price for everything that you get, but I wouldn’t recommend it to other people. While there is a large assortment of colors, the tubes are small and each color will probably last you only one painting. The brushes are decent, a little stiff at first but they are new so it’s expected, though some of them leave strands behind.
It’s good if you are first starting like me I guess, I just notice a huge different of quality between the painting I did in my class to the one on my own.
Can I use fabric paint on dirty linen matting inside frame of oil painting?
I have a very large 5′X3′ oil painting that I love, but the Oil painting Lilypad linen matting on the frame is soiled. I can’t afford to reframe it and I am wondering if I can use fabric paint to paint over the dirty mat. The linen mat is about one inch wide inside of a 3 inch wide frame. The linen is a natural linen color..a dark off-white.

I purchased this paint set as a starter kit for painting, since it contains almost everything I need for painting and the price is low. However, the brushes that come with it are all so bad, the bristles are super hard and thick and it is impossible to paint with it. My friend got the same set as me and we both had to replace all the brushes in the box. The other components are alright.
This has everything my wife needed to launch her art career…she is super pleased w/ the set

I’m taking an art course this semester and was looking for an inexpensive kit for an upcoming project. I found this kit for $12 and free shipping with Amazon prime. I ordered it despite the lack of reviews and the poor product description, and am very glad I did! It comes with everything you see in the picture (except mine had an oval palette, not a square one) and everything seems to be of good quality. I mostly ordered it for the easel, which I am very impressed with. This set is worth much more when you price out everything individually, and I highly recommend it for students and hobbyists!
I bought this for my niece in college. It arrived very quickly and is ideal for use in her college dorm. The desktop easel is perfect and she was thrilled with the carrying case. I couldn’t have picked a better gift for her. Thanks!
