There is no need to go into many details about this gem. Simply put; it is very soft, comfortable and warm. It is of excellent quality. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the picture shows it as a richer color than it really is, but since it matches the colors in my room very well I cannot complain.

I need your responses on beauty.?
I am working on my gold award for Girl Scouts and I have to write a story about true beauty and stereo typical beauty. My story is supposed to reflect some of the traits that I consider beautiful because society told me they were and what I truly consider beautiful. I am supposed to post my story somewhere and receive responses where others comment on their thoughts on my essay and their individual thoughts on beauty. Thank you so much for taking your time to do this. Depending on the person, the stereo typical image of beauty has different levels of effects on our point of views on what is and what is not pretty. There are some people out there who everybody seems to consider beautiful. The people who fit this definition usually contain traits which are of stereo typical beauty. Stereo typical beauty can easily be defined as traits that everybody in society assumes as beautiful. Flawless skin, luscious long hair, a tan complexion, light colored eyes, skinny waist, large breasts, mild curves, button noses, youth, and long legs are examples of stereotypical beauty. This type of beauty typically comes from different sources of media such as advertisements Luscious abstract or television shows. The media has set this narrow-minded image that has crawled, at one time or another, into the minds of even the least naïve of us and planted its seeds inside there. There is also another type of beauty called true beauty. The definition of True beauty varies depending on the person. Many people find that their views of how pretty certain people are do not match up. This shows that each person does have a sense of identifying what true beauty is. Traits that an individual person believes are beautiful without any influence from outsiders are truly beautiful. True beauty is an opinion that one has on beauty and it usually does not come in the shape of an image because it is an abstract point of view. As a young child I was mostly exposed to society’s sketch of beauty. If somebody did not contain at least a few of those stereotypical features I considered them to be unattractive. Age also defined whether somebody was beautiful. Young adults were beautiful in my eyes, not children or elders. Barbie was beautiful along with Britney Spears. I believed society’s outlook on beauty to be true beauty, not stereotypical. In fact, I did not become aware of stereotypical beauty until I was older. As I matured, my opinion of beauty began to form and I realized that most people were beautiful in their own way. I also began picking out people who may have not fit the stereo type of beautiful as being some of the prettiest people. For instance, I saw Lindsay Lohan as being the prettiest girl in the world. This was before her transformation, when she had red hair and a lot of freckles and she was not outrageously tan. I also liked the fact that she was not a stick like all the other celebrities and I think she looked better this way. By early high school I started to believe blonde hair was overrated. I liked dark hair a lot more and red hair as well. I loved freckles more than dimples which contradicted much of the media’s views. Society seemed to dislike wavy hair and rather they liked straight or curly hair. I became a huge fan of wavy hair and believed it to look somewhat natural and beautiful. These epitomes led to my definition of true beauty which also led to the discovery that many people’s personalities also distinguished their level of beauty. So, true beauty is not a solid form but rather a flexible opinion.

I purchased this because I often get cold at night when working on my laptop and I’d have to drag my blanket out to the living room. It’s so soft, warm, comfortable and no itchy at all. My cats love it too. I keep it folded thrown over the side of the coach when I’m not using it and it looks great. I have a $250 alpaca throw from nordstrom and this one really is the same thing but you save because it comes directly from Ecuador. It’s fragile but that just the nature of alpaca. My cats pull threads out but its not very noticeable. The reason for 4 stars are the edges, I dont like the contrasting white. I wish the edges were the same color as the blanket. I would also love to see some throws made of the even softer neck hair from the alpaca (I forgot whats its called), that would be great! I will definitely buying more of these for myself and these are great as gifts too.
