Haha, he doesn’t. :) It was just casual banter. They knew each other from earlier work experiences and they were just joking around with each other.But I have my theory that they were actually dating and that was their way of flirting. :)

It refers to mid-century furniture designed by Charles and Ray Eames (see link). Such furniture has been heavily replicated and continues to be even now. If you bought this at a retail store, it’s undoubtedly a replica. If you’ve inherited it, maybe it is the real thing.Beware, though, of craigslist scammers. Someone may tell you how valuable it is because they want to send you a check for $5,000 and have you send them the balance. Don’t fall for that one.

You can call the Herman Miller Company in Wisconsin. They’ll know. If you’re in a big city, there are people who know such things. The market for these is a little soft right now, but they’re wonderful chairs, and if it were me, I’d hold on to it. I can tell you that Ray and Charles Eames have a cult like status in some circles.
