I ordered a 21×27 copy of this and was excited to get it. I was disappointed to see that the colors are nowhere near as vivid as they appear in the images, and it was clearly enlarged digitally to the point where the lines were no longer crisp nor sharp. A shame, really, because I love the concept and the colors, but on the wall it sucked the life out of the room.
I made an acrylic painting for the first time and it was horrible (paint was too thin), what am I doing wrong?
I’ve done oil paintings before, but I recently bought acrylic paint for a large abstract painting (which was supposed to have texture)… I bought acrylic paint because apparently it goes on thick abstract Large Oil and dries like plastic, and you don’t have to wait long for it to dry…. well I tried it and it wasn’t thick (unless i squeezed the tube on the canvas and left it there)… the consistency was not good at all, and I couldnt even finish the painting, it looked horrible… and I didn’t even dilute it with water… the brand I got is supposed to be one of the best.I have a feeling that I forgot to get something else with it, a medium or something??I have no idea how to fix this… I would use oil paint but it takes too long to dry, and I need to know what else I should buy to solve my acrylic dilemma!!
