How to sell your personal art?
Hello, I have been an artist all of my life ( not professionally ). I did want to puruse it up through high school, but then decided that it may be a little too competitive for my taste. I would work primarily in pencil, and have recently begun oil painting. I have picked it up really quickly, and have found out that it is much harder Fantasy abstract Oil to store large canvas paintings then it is pencil/charcoal drawings. I was wondering if there is anyone out there similar to me who has been able to sell paintings. I have been doing some abstract stuff, landscapes, and fantasy landscapes ( imaginative ). I think there has got to be an audience somewhere who would like the look of these as much as I, so why not see if I can get some money for them. I was looking for suggestions on how to go about possibly selling some of these. And also, I have no idea how to even price a painting. I’m no professional, but I take pride in my work, and would hate to see them out the door for hardly anything at all. Any thoughts/suggestions/experiences would be great. Thank you. Justin
