I searched everywhere for a gravy boat, looking for one that was not too expensive, and one that was large enough to hold enough gravy to satisfy 6 – 8 people. This gravy boat is perfect. The basic white and simple lines make it easy to coordinate with most any table setting. The 24 ounce size was generous enough that you don’t have to refill the vessel during dinner. It’s nice that it comes with the saucer so that your table is protected from drips.

Can I pass a drug test?
Before I begin, I do not care if you think I shouldn’t smoke marijuana. It has absolutely no effect on my life thus far. I’m in high school, get all A’s, am going to a good college, and am a good kid. That being said, I would like to explain my situation. I am interviewing for a job tomorrow. I expect a drug test on Saturday or somewhere around then if I get the job. I smoked for Boat Hourse abstract about a week straight at the end of December, ending about 3 weeks ago. The week after I stopped smoking, I smoked the smallest bowl that barely got me high. I am in pretty decent shape, probably around 10-12% body fat if I had to guess. I exercised earlier this week on Monday and Wednesday and sweat a good amount. I always drink about 75 oz of water a day. Now, I know THC is fat soluble. I just want to get some opinions if people think I will pass a test if I take it on Saturday or Sunday. I plan on drinking a large amount of water 24 hourse before the test along with cranberry juice, Vitamin B-2 and B-12, and creatine to make my pee appear normal. I also know to use the middle of my pee-stream for the test. Basically, I’m wondering if anyone’s ever been in my boat before and passed their test.

My dish didn’t do any cooling so I looked at some museum pieces. Seems there’s been butter coolers for thousands of years. The difference, they were unglazed to allow evaporation and holes in strategic areas for air flow. This explains why this beautifully made dish in nice porcelain doesn’t work to cool anything. The inside and sides of the water reservoir are glazed. The bottom isn’t glazed but what good is that when the water can’t get through the glazed interior to evaporate. Also, the bottom is flat so even if the interior wasn’t glazed to allow evaporation, how can that happen with the bottom flush to the counter with no air flow? With only a few improvements, based on ancient knowledge, this could be a beautiful addition. Possibly put feet on the bottom. Only glaze a few areas on the sides and leave the rest as bisque. Don’t glaze the interior and possibly put holes above the butter to allow heat to rise and cool air to stay. Search: 89/988 Butter cooler, terracotta, Koster’s Premier Pottery, South Australia, 1888-1895 OR 86/1558 Butter cooler, terracotta, [Australia], 1890-1940, OR K887 Butter cooler.

I have had one of these for years & it got lost in a move~thus I purchased another one.
Life is so much simpler when your butter is stored in the temperature that is usuable & for cooking also.
It keeps the product very good & it showed me how much “messier” it was to take out the butter stick each time etc.when it dissappeared in my move.
It has been a request from several friends for gifts too~as they loved mine.
Well worth the money!

I am completely satisfied with my butter boat. Like it so well will probably give a couple as Christmas gifts. It really is nice to have butter that is spreadable at all times.

I originally encountered the butter boat at my mom’s – she got it from one of the TV shopper networks (naturally). I liked it so much that tried to get one of my own. What an ordeal! As I recall, there was a whole urban legend around the original Butter boat (the lady holding the patent got very sick and they stopped being produced and the patent got tangled up, right when I was trying to buy one, of course…but I digress). I finally found the Silvermark ones on Amazon and bought four of ‘em. They’ve become legend in my family – my youngest daughter just moved away and claimed hers (made a special trip for it!), so my stash of Butter Boats is now gone!

ANYWAY, the Butter Boat performance has been described in other reviews – it really does work as advertised (maybe a bit better). No, the butter doesn’t get rancid – unless you are an extremely slow butter consumer (like months or years per stick). I always preferred butter over soft margarine, but spreading refrigerated butter is a pain. No more pain!

Just two issues that I can think of. It’s kinda heavy and sometimes a little bit slippery, so it’s tricky to pass around the table. (Think about corn-on-the-cob night). Also, the little lift knob on the lid is a bit hard to grip – ours has been dropped several times (without breaking, fortunately!). Now all I have to do is to figure out how to keep the cats out of it at night — they like the Butter Boat too!

This was not the item I expected. I ordered a similar pump last year but lost the charger cord. This one does not come with a plugin charger but you have to have it plugged in to work. For Camping that is not Practical. So my husband will use it in his hobbies. Also it is not a powerful as the pump that came with the Eureka Air-mattress.
